Tee Height Fitting
Hit drives from a low and a high tee in turn (or low, standard and high at random) at a fairway-wide target. Tap Left, Fairway or Right, add the carry if you have it, and see which tee height to play.
Free in your browser. Also on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

WHY IT WORKS
The problem, and the fix
Tee height changes launch, spin and where on the face you hit it, yet most golfers tee it the same way every time without knowing if another height would be straighter or longer.
The goal: Find, from your own numbers, the tee height that keeps the most drives in play, and how far each height carries.
You leave fairways and yards on the tee for a change that costs nothing.
How it works
Five steps from opening the drill to your first logged result.
- 1Pick two markers on the range about a fairway apart (30 to 35 yards wide at your carry).
- 2Tee each ball at the height the app calls: low, standard (your usual) or high. What low and high mean is up to you; just tee each one the same way every time.
- 3Hit one drive, then tap where it finished: Left, Fairway or Right. Set the carry on the slider if you have a launch monitor or a rangefinder.
- 4Two heights alternate (low, high); choose three in Settings and they come in a random order. Your height appears after 5 balls at each.
- 5Hands-free: say “fairway”, “left” or “right”. Also “repeat”, “skip”, “undo”, “finish” or “hands-free off”.
SEE IT IN ACTION
On iPad, iPhone and the web
Tee Height Fitting looks the same everywhere: in your browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and in the iPhone and iPad app.

Coaching tips
No fixed length — 20 to 30 balls is a good session. Finish whenever you like: a session saves itself from the first reps.
Hit 100 drives in Tee Height Fitting. Every badge is a coin on the drill’s Progress page.
No phone? Print the practice sheet. Count the Fairway rows at each height and average its carries. The height with more fairways (and the longer carry when they’re close) is the one to play.
Questions
What do I need?
Driver + tees, any range with a fairway-wide target, launch monitor optional.
How long is a session?
No fixed length — 20 to 30 balls is a good session.
How do I score it on the practice sheet?
Count the Fairway rows at each height and average its carries. The height with more fairways (and the longer carry when they’re close) is the one to play.
Which badges can I earn?
6: First session, 100 tee shots, 500 tee shots, 5 fairways in a row, Teed up right and Every height in play. Each one lights up on the drill’s Progress page.
Can I use it hands-free?
Yes. Turn on Hands-free in the drill and say each result out loud, and “undo” or “finish”. It works in browsers with speech recognition, such as Chrome and Safari, and in the iPhone and iPad app. You can always tap instead.
Do I need an account?
No. Practice as a guest and your sessions stay on that device. Sign in with Apple, Google or email to keep them in your account, on the web and in the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch app.
